How to Send Salon Offers on WhatsApp (12 Message Templates You Can Copy)
Every salon owner in India has thought it: I have 800 customer numbers on my phone. Why am I sitting with three empty chairs on a Tuesday? The instinct is right. The usual execution — one long message with four offers, forwarded to everybody from a personal number — is what turns a good idea into a restricted number.
This is the practical version: what to write, when to send it, and how to not get blocked. Copy the messages, change the names. For the strategy behind the timing, read WhatsApp marketing for salons alongside this.
Three rules before you send anything
Use your own WhatsApp Business number, onboarded officially through Meta. Not a reseller’s shared number. When Meta acts on someone else’s spam, you do not want your customer history attached to it.
Marketing messages need an approved template. Outside a 24-hour conversation window you cannot send free-form text — you send a message template that Meta has approved, with variables like {{1}} for the customer’s name. Approval usually takes minutes to a few hours. Write and submit them a week before the festive rush, not the morning of.
Honour every opt-out, immediately and by hand if you must. If someone replies STOP, बंद, or “don’t send”, take them off your list and never send again. This is not only courtesy — repeated sends to people who mute or report you drag your quality rating down, and a low rating starts blocking your appointment reminders too. The messages you actually can’t afford to lose are the transactional ones.
The templates
Placeholders in {{ }} are what Meta calls variables — your customer’s name, your salon’s name, the service. Keep each message under about 400 characters; the good ones are shorter.
1. The win-back (haven’t visited in 60 days)
The single highest-return message a salon sends. Modest offer, no guilt.
Hi {{1}}, it’s been a while since your last visit to {{2}} 💇♀️ We’d love to see you again — here’s 20% off any service this week. Just reply with a day that suits you and we’ll book it.
Hinglish version, which in most Indian salons outperforms the English one:
{{1}} ji, bahut din ho gaye! 😊 {{2}} mein is hafte aapke liye 20% off hai. Bas reply karke bata dijiye kaunsa din theek hai — hum book kar denge.
2. The rebook nudge (timed to their own rhythm)
Not a monthly blast. A haircut grows out in 4–6 weeks, a manicure in 3 — send it when that customer is due.
Hi {{1}}, your last {{2}} with us was on {{3}}. Around now is usually when it’s time for the next one. Want the same slot this week? Reply and we’ll hold it.
3. The birthday message (send 2–3 days early)
On the day itself they’re busy. Two days before, they’re planning.
Happy birthday week, {{1}}! 🎂 Come celebrate at {{2}} — a complimentary {{3}} on us with any service this month. Reply to pick your day.
4. The quiet-day filler
The message that exists purely to fill Tuesday afternoon. Make the time limit explicit, or people will try to redeem it on Saturday.
Hi {{1}}, midweek is quiet at {{2}} and we’d rather be busy 🙂 25% off any service, Tuesday to Thursday, 2–5pm only. Reply with a day and we’ll fit you in.
5. Festive and wedding season (two weeks early)
Diwali, Eid, Pujo, wedding season. Book-early beats discount-deeper, and it lands before your competitors’ blasts.
{{1}}, Diwali slots at {{2}} are opening now ✨ The 2 days before Diwali fill first every year — book this week and pick your time. Reply DIWALI and we’ll send you what’s free.
{{1}} ji, shaadi season shuru ho raha hai 💐 Bridal aur family packages ke slots jaldi bhar jaate hain — abhi book kar lijiye. Reply karke apna date bata dijiye.
6. Membership or package renewal
Highest-margin message on this list, because these customers already trust you.
Hi {{1}}, your {{2}} package at {{3}} has {{4}} sessions left and expires on {{5}}. Renew this month and we’ll carry the unused sessions over. Reply RENEW and we’ll sort it.
7. New service, new stylist
Hi {{1}}, {{2}} has joined {{3}} — 9 years doing colour and balayage. Introductory 15% off with her this month. Reply to book.
The reply is the whole product
Here is where most salon WhatsApp marketing quietly fails. Owners send 400 messages, 60 people reply “kitna hai?” or “Sunday slot hai?”, and nobody answers until Monday. By then those 60 people have booked somewhere else. A campaign that gets replies and no answers just teaches your customers that your salon does not respond.
So the rule is simple: do not send a broadcast you cannot answer. If you are one person with a phone, send 50 messages, not 500. If something answers for you — EaseSeat’s EzzyChat replies in the customer’s own language, checks the real calendar and books the appointment inside the same conversation — then the size of the send stops being the limit.
Notice too that every template above ends by asking for a reply. That is deliberate. A message with a link asks people to leave WhatsApp; a message asking for a reply keeps the conversation in the one app they never close.
What it costs, honestly
Marketing conversations in India run roughly ₹0.70–0.90 each paid to Meta, and prices change — check Meta’s current India rates before you plan a big send. A 400-person campaign is somewhere near ₹300. That is cheap enough that the real risk is not the money; it is sending so often that people mute you. Four marketing messages per customer per month is already a lot. Most salons should be nowhere near it.
Measure bookings, not “delivered”
Delivered and read rates make campaigns look successful. They are not the number that matters. Do this instead: write down how many appointments came in during the 48 hours after a send, and what they billed. Compare that to the campaign’s cost. Two campaigns in and you will know which of the messages above works on your customers — which is worth more than any benchmark from someone else’s salon.
EaseSeat gives your salon its own WhatsApp Business number through Meta’s official onboarding, lets you build and submit your message templates, send to the customers you choose with per-message delivery tracking, and — with EzzyChat — answers the replies and books them in. See the marketing loop, or book a demo and bring your customer list.
